Full Moon Reading - August 28, 2026
I Am Loved for Me
Exactly as I am in this moment.
Same card. Brightest light.
Sixteen days ago the sun went dark. This morning, before dawn, the moon did — ninety-three percent of it inside the earth's shadow, and then back, full. The cycle opened covered and closed covered. Whatever you have been doing these two weeks, the sky ran the same sequence twice and came back whole both times.
At the new moon I handed you four doors. Joy, if you wanted to catch love arriving unearned. Grace, if you wanted to give it to yourself. Contentment, if you wanted to find out whether resting cost you anything. Connection, if you wanted to find the people who require no explanation.
Four doors. One room. Tonight is where that becomes obvious.
What you were actually collecting
Whichever fire you walked through, you were gathering the same evidence: moments when you were received and were not producing anything.
That's it. That's what all four were for.
Bliss was that moment arriving from outside you. Compassion was you generating it inward. Presence was testing whether the not-earning cost you anything. Resonance was finding the person who gave it without being paid in usefulness.
Same fact, four angles. And if you collected even a handful, you now have something you did not have on the twelfth: a small stack of instances in which the love was not attached to the output.
Look at what's in the stack. Almost all of them will be small. Almost none will be things you'd list on any accounting of your life. That isn't because you got the assignment wrong. It's because the unearned moments have always been the small ones, and small ones don't get filed.
They're filed now.
If nothing came
Some of you forgot for eleven days and caught one on the twelfth. That one counts, and it counts fully.
Some of you collected nothing at all, and read this feeling behind. You are not behind. There is no version of a two-week practice that can be failed, and I'm not going to be the voice that hands you a grade — that's the whole thing this card exists to undo.
And some of you got something entirely different from what the reading proposed. That happens, and it isn't a detour. The card doesn't need your cooperation to work on you.
The lighthouse
Here is one shape it takes, and it may be yours.
A lighthouse is loved for standing there. It doesn't row out to meet the boats. It doesn't check whether anyone noticed. It doesn't earn the harbor by going and getting people — it holds its position and lets the light do what light does.
Most of us were taught to row. To go out, to fetch, to bring people in personally, to be the one who did something about it. And rowing is exhausting in a specific way: it works, people arrive, and none of it tells you whether you'd have been loved standing still.
Standing still is the experiment.
The part the new moon didn't say
Loved for me has a second half that only shows up in full light.
The four fires all pointed at being loved without producing. But there's a further in, and some of you found it: not just the part of you that isn't producing — all of it. The tired part. The part that hasn't returned the call. The part that resents someone she's supposed to love. The part with a bad attitude at four in the afternoon. The parts you've spent a lifetime keeping out of the room in case they cost you something.
Exactly as I am doesn't mean the acceptable version of you at rest. It means the whole thing. Shadow and light, both, at once, with nothing held back for later disclosure.
That's what a full moon is, incidentally. The same moon that has been in shadow all month, lit all the way across. Nothing added. Nothing removed. The dark side is still there and still turning; you're just seeing the whole face for once.
Tonight the moon did both in six hours. Shadow, then full. If you need an image for holding all of yourself at the same time, it was over your house this morning.
What the evidence is for
Here's the part that has teeth.
Once you have a stack of moments where you were loved for nothing, you can see clearly which relationships in your life contain none of them.
You'll know them by the shape: you show up, you deliver something — advice, capability, progress, a report on how you're doing — and you're received warmly, and it's real, and it has never once been tested by you arriving with nothing. Some of these are fine. Some of them ended a while ago and neither party has said so, and you keep paying the toll because it's the only entry you know.
You do not have to end anything. That's not what this is for, and a full moon is a terrible time to make a permanent decision.
But you might notice which ones they are. And you might notice that the question isn't should I keep this — it's what is this if I stop producing? That's answerable. It requires only that you show up once with nothing and see what's there.
Sometimes there's a friendship underneath, and it's been waiting for the performance to stop. Sometimes there isn't. Both are worth knowing, and neither one is a verdict on you.
The seven keys, at full light
The same questions from the twelfth, asked now that you have something to answer them with.
Truth — What have you stopped being able to pretend not to know?
Courage — What did you do in the last two weeks that you didn't earn first?
Strength — What carried you — and what have you noticed you can put down?
Tenderness — Who got tended, and was any of it you?
Becoming — Where were you simply in the room, and something changed?
Wholeness — Which container did you notice, and did you climb back into it?
Light — What went out from you that cost you nothing?
I am worthy — of being loved for me.
Before it goes dark
Keep the stack. Don't tidy it, don't turn it into a lesson, and don't throw it out because it looks thin. Two weeks of small evidence is not thin — it's the beginning of a record, and a record is the only thing that ever moves a conclusion.
The moon starts giving light back tonight. In fourteen days there'll be a dark sky and a new card and a new question.
You'll come to it with a file you didn't have a month ago.
See you at the new moon.
