Moon Readings

What this is, and why I do it

Twice a month I pull a card and write to whoever's reading.

Not a forecast. I have no idea what's coming for you, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something. This is a lens — one question to carry for two weeks, and a way to notice what's already happening in your life that you haven't been counting.

Why I do it

Because nobody is talked into their own worth.

I've watched it fail from both sides. You can hand a woman every good argument for why she is enough exactly as she is, and she will agree with you completely, and nothing will move. Not because she's stubborn. Because the belief she's carrying wasn't installed by an argument, so it can't be removed by one. It was installed by what happened to her — by rooms that needed her manageable, by people who found it convenient that she believed she had to earn her place.

What actually moves it is evidence. Small, specific, accumulated. Moments from your own life, noticed on purpose and written down where you can count them. Enough of those and the old conclusion simply can't stand anymore — not because you argued it away, but because it stopped matching what you can see.

That's all this is. A structure for collecting evidence about yourself, on a rhythm.

How it works

At the new moon, I pull an I Am card.

The deck has fifty-two of them. Each one names a specific truth — I am free. I am loved for me. I am worthy of the space I take up. Underneath every single card is the same floor: I am worthy. The cards are fifty-two doors into one room.

Each one comes with seven keys. The keys are questions, and each opens on a fear and the longing underneath it — truth and the unknown, courage and failure, strength and pain, tenderness and loss, becoming and commitment, wholeness and judgment, light and vulnerability. Seven ways into the same statement.

Then I pull each fire.

There are four: Joy, Grace, Contentment, Connection. Each fire gives you three moves — something to SEE, something to LISTEN for, and something to HOLD.

And here's the part that matters: I don't decide which fire is yours. I write all four. You read them and one of them lands, and that one's yours for the next two weeks. You'll probably recognize pieces of yourself in the others. That's fine. There's no order to them, no advanced one, no beginner one. Four doors, same footing, and the only person who knows which one is yours is you.

That's not modesty. It's the whole design. The moment I tell you which fire you're in, I've done the exact thing this work exists to undo — decided something about your life from outside it.

New moon, full moon

The new moon is the dark sky. New card, new question, nothing visible yet. This is where you get the lens and start collecting. You're not trying to feel anything in particular. You're noticing — catching the moments that would normally slide past unlogged, and keeping them.

The full moon is the “I am” same card at its brightest.

Not a new question. The same one, two weeks later, with everything you gathered in the meantime. That's when we look at what came in — what you saw, what the needle said, what you're holding that you weren't holding before. The statement doesn't change. What changes is that you've got proof now, and proof is what the second half is for.

Then it goes dark again, and there's a new card.

What this isn't

It isn't a diagnosis. Nothing in these readings will tell you what's wrong with you, because I don't think anything is, and I won't be the next voice handing you a verdict about your own life.

It isn't homework. There's no way to do a two-week practice badly. You'll forget for four days and then catch one, and the one you caught still counts.

And it isn't advice. I'm not going to tell you what to do about your marriage, your work, or your mother. I'm going to hand you a question and trust you to be the one who answers it. That's the whole premise. You are the one who answers — always were, whatever you were told.

Come along

Readings go out twice a month, free, at the new moon and the full moon.

Bring whatever you're carrying. Nothing needs fixing first.
